A recent article suggests that a nationalistic belief in God (or a creator, or just thinking Darwin is the spawn of satan) is linked to higher rates of crime, murder, and other pleasant social activities.

It doesn’t really take into account the plurality of Christian belief (there are Christians on many sides of nearly any issue you can think of related to religion). So I think this is more about the nationalist religion rather than religious belief. The difference being that nationalism tends to be more about living in a country that follows God rather than religious belief being about following God yourself and not being so concerned about the nation’s overall belief system (which America shouldn’t have in the first place anyway).

It’s a good read. Worthy of a conversation or two.
