You know you’ve got a storm, rather than rain, when there is thunder before the water. Then, when the pre-downpour sprinkle starts and you can see the individual drops falling from twenty feet away and they leave water spots on your windshield the size equal that of half your fist (when you car hasn’t been started yet, too).

Then you can see the very close lightning flash from behind shut blinds.

Now we can call this a storm watch, as far as Redlands in concerned. Or at least this citizen thereto.
