A friend of mine brought up an interesting point that has led me to search for some news about it, but I’m coming up empty.
The idea was that, with all of the reports in the tsunami area, they were all taking pictures, recording video, and generally doing what reporters do. But in their sometimes highly useful airplanes and helicopters, we wondered how many may be bringing food and supplies to drop for the people they are writing/filming a story about.
Seems like the reporter’s duty is to do just that, report, but they are people first. That’s a big assumption to make that the reporters aren’t bringing any humanitarian aid with them, but it’s probably safe to say that some are and some aren’t.
Regardless, a story about that would interest me at this point, just to have some information on it.
